I’ve been with Bidvest Auckland for 4 Years now, beginning as the Customer Service Manager before moving into the HR / Compliance Role.

As the name suggest I look after HR and Compliance for Auckland, this includes recruitment (advertisements, interviews, inductions, contracts / paperwork) Health and Safety and Food Safety nationally.

With a new family most of my spare time involves getting to know my 18 month old son Toby. I’ve worked on dairy farms before, milking 400 cows so I thought I’d be use to the “surprises” that Toby would leave. I was wrong, PHEW! My wife (Louise) and I have been married for just over two years now and are planning to have a few more kids yet…well I am anyway.

Sports and travel have played a big role in my life with rugby taking me to New York, Wales and England while hitch hiking through Africa (Kenya to South Africa) for six months was a highlight of my travel. An avid gardener there are cabbages, courgettes, cucumbers, peas, beans, tomatoes, cauliflowers and broccoli ready to harvest with the pumpkin ready soon. I recently finished a 12 month mentoring stint with a graduate from Project K and would recommend everyone give it a go. An awesome project that gives so much.

If I could be a super hero, there is only one, THE SILVER SURFER, so complex, so many lives to save, the movie did him no justice at all – buy the Annihilation Series, simply BRILLIANT!
